A tramp freighter ship caught in a merciless storm, wrapped in black glistening vine-like tendrils, beside an impossible island bearing every season — a haunting image for The Crimson Legacy series by Ambrose Fider.

What If The Dream Realm Is Not Finished With Them?

Most realms can be escaped.

The Dream Realm is not one of them.

As I continue shaping the future of The Crimson Legacy, I’ve begun realizing something unsettling:

Perhaps Ambrose was never meant to be the only one claimed by it.

The deeper I write into this world, the more it feels as though The Dream Realm was never simply a place hidden beyond the veil of reality. It is something older. Something alive. A realm that does not merely test strength with swords or storms—but strips away every mask a person has ever worn.

And once it knows you…
it never truly lets you go.

At first, I believed The Dream Realm belonged solely to Ambrose’s journey. A trial uniquely tied to her fate, her lineage, and the burdens she carries. But stories have a way of revealing truths even their authors do not expect.

Now I find myself asking:

What if the realm begins calling to others as well?

Not through chains.
Not through force.
But through the hidden fractures already living inside them.

Because every member of The Crimson Legacy carries secrets.

Some carry grief they have buried so deeply it has become part of who they are.
Some hide fears powerful enough to destroy them if ever brought fully into the light.
Others carry darkness they themselves do not yet understand.

And The Dream Realm feeds upon such things.

What if the next voyage is not simply across dangerous seas or cursed islands?

What if the next battle takes place within themselves?

The idea haunting me most while planning the next chapter of this series is the possibility that each character may be forced into their own version of The Dream Realm—separated from one another, stripped of certainty, and confronted by truths they never wished to face.

Not all monsters wear faces.
Some wear memories.
Some wear regret.
Some wear guilt.
And some whisper the darkest question of all:

Who are you when everything you believed about yourself begins to unravel?

Before future wars can be won…
before ancient islands can be reclaimed…
before darkness spreading across the seas can truly be confronted…

perhaps each soul aboard The Crimson Legacy must first survive themselves.

That possibility changes everything.

Because physical battles leave scars upon the body.
But The Dream Realm leaves scars upon the soul.

And not everyone who enters it returns unchanged.

Some may emerge stronger.
Some may break entirely.
And some may discover that the greatest danger was never the realm itself…

…but the truths waiting for them within it.

The further this series evolves, the more I realize The Crimson Legacy was never only about adventure.

It is about identity.
Fear.
Transformation.
Loss.
Hope.
And the terrifying beauty of discovering who we truly are when the world strips everything else away.

Perhaps the Dream Realm is not over after all.

Perhaps it is only just beginning.

Until next time Lovelies,

Always,,
