When I first released The Crimson Legacy: Book One – Ambrose, The Isle of Legends, I poured everything I had into it—my heart, my imagination, and the countless hours of writing, rewriting, design and dreaming. But like many indie authors learning as they go, there were choices I made in haste, especially when it came to the cover design.
At the time, I believed the font, color scheme, and overall aesthetic captured the essence of the story. But with time, feedback, and a more critical eye, I came to realize something important: just because a decision was made with love doesn’t mean it was the right one.
✨ This isn’t failure—it’s growth.
Being a writer, especially an indie one, means wearing many hats. And while mistakes are part of the process, so is learning from them. As I evolve as a storyteller, so too must the presentation of my work. I’ve come to understand the power of first impressions—how the right cover can truly reflect the magic within the pages.
That’s why I’m excited to share that Book One has been given a brand-new look. The revised cover better reflects the world of Ambrose, the adventure, and the tone of the tale. It’s more in line with the heart of the story—and with the journey I’ve taken to get here.
📚 Book Two is next on the list for a refresh. With this new perspective, I’m making the necessary changes to ensure that every book in the series carries the same sense of wonder and visual cohesion.
🗺️ And as for Book Three—its launch is on the horizon. With everything I’ve learned, I feel more prepared, more confident, and more committed than ever to getting it right. Not perfect, but honest. True to the world I’ve built and the people who have supported me on this path.
To my readers, fellow creatives, and indie authors:
Keep learning. Keep growing. We won’t always get it right the first time. But we can choose to keep showing up, to do better, and to reflect our growth in everything we create.
Here’s to second chances, evolving visions, and the beauty of learning as we go.
Until next time Lovelies
Always. (Ambrose Fider)
